Flat Stanley: Over winter break, students will take Flat Stanley on an adventure. Five journal entries will be assigned with a picture of each place Flat Stanley visited. We are preparing to send Flat Stanley off.
****Because of the current state of Coronavirus, we will not be sending him off.
Please have your child use our I-Station program for language arts and Math Monday-Friday at home for about 20 minutes each subject. Thank you for your support.
Spelling Story: To encourage better writing skills, I am assigning a spelling story once every three weeks. This is independent of their spelling pretest score. I am asking them to draft their stories, which I will look over. Many times, they revise. Parents are encouraged to look over their story once their draft is completed.

Students should be going on I-Station weekly at home. Please ensure that your child is logging on for about 20-30 minutes a week for each subject (language arts and math) at home, but the more practice they get, the better their skills will improve in language arts and mathematics.
Pledge Drive-Thank you to all the families who have donated to our pledge drive. We currently have 100%!!!!!! Our families are amazing!!! Thank you to all and Lauren for your hard work.
Earphones-Students may bring in their own earphones to use with the I-pads at school.
HOMEWORK PACKETS-
***All future homework packets will go home on the Friday before to allow students to work on their homework over the weekend if they so choose.
FUN FRIDAY-If students complete all their homework, including getting reading log signatures for each day, they will participate in Fun Fridays. Students are allowed to bring an item from home to play with during Fun Friday. No electronics are allowed.
Spelling Pretests are given on Fridays. If students score 90% or above, students will be exempt from spelling homework for the following week. They are responsible for all other homework. Check your child's homework folder for pretest results every Friday.
